Akali is a deadly assassin and former member of the Kinkou Order who now operates independently to protect Ionia. Born to Tahno and Mayym Jhomen Tethi within the order, she trained from childhood under masters like Kennen and showed exceptional talent in combat and stealth.

After Zed's Shadow Order killed many Kinkou members including her father, Akali fled with survivors to rebuild the order. Though skilled enough to become the new Fist of Shadow, she grew frustrated with the order's passive approach and left to fight Ionia's enemies directly.

As a rogue assassin, Akali targets threats to Ionia through precise strikes and assassinations. She maintains connections with former allies like Shen while pursuing dangerous foes including Zed and the serial killer Khada Jhin. During Noxus's second invasion, she joined champions like Irelia and Karma in defending Ionia.
