Priscilla: The Cancelled Spider Queen Champion of League of Legends
Priscilla, the Spider Queen was a cancelled League of Legends champion originally conceived in 2009. Initially named Nidalee, her concept would later influence the development of Elise.
Development History:
- Originally designed in 2009 but didn't make it past development phase
- Her artwork and spell icons remained in game files for years
- Later inspired aspects of Urgot's original design
- An item called "Priscilla's Blessing" was briefly available during Dominion's launch in 2011
- A community petition to bring her into the game gathered over 24,000 votes
- Eventually reworked into the champion Elise
Abilities:
Camouflage (Passive)
- Grants 20%-80% bonus mana regeneration (based on level)
Ensnare
- Throws a sticky web that immobilizes enemies
- Drags affected enemies toward Priscilla over 1 second
- Deals 1.25 damage per distance moved
Inject Spiderlings
- Passive: Basic attacks apply poison that slows targets by 10% + 4% per stack for 4 seconds
- When poisoned targets die, they spawn Spiderlings (one per stack)
- Spiderlings: 340 HP, 0 armor, 20 damage, last 60 seconds
Thirst (Passive)
- Grants life steal
Corpsemaker
- Pins target for 2.75 seconds
- Rapidly slashes with front claws
- Deals damage every 0.25 seconds
Voice acting for Priscilla used Evelynn's voiceover from Alpha Week 6. While her original name was later used by another champion, Coronach confirmed there was no other connection between the characters.
