Season One marked the beginning of competitive League of Legends, running from July 13, 2010, to August 23, 2011. During this period, 29 new champions were released, and several groundbreaking features were introduced.

Key Features:

  • Ranked Games: Level 30 players could participate in 3v3 Premade, 5v5 Premade, or 5v5 Solo queues
  • Public Ladders: Players' Elo ratings were displayed on the League of Legends Ladder
  • Team Drafting: Introduced ban/pick system following 1:2:2:2:2:1 format (5v5) or 1:2:2:1 format (3v3)
  • Improved Visual Interface: Complete redesign of PvP.net interface

  • Platinum (Top 0.2%): 1900+ rating - Platinum icon, banner, forum badge, Victorious Jarvan IV skin
  • Gold (Top 3%): 1520-1899 rating - Gold icon, banner, forum badge, Victorious Jarvan IV skin
  • Silver (Top 10%): 1400-1519 rating - Silver icon and banner
  • Bronze (Top 25%): 1249-1399 rating - Bronze banner
  • All Season One veterans received Judgment Kayle skin
