Atreus is a mortal warrior who became the unwilling host of the Aspect of War, Pantheon. After surviving a fatal blow from Aatrox that killed the celestial being within him, he embraced his mortality and now wields the fallen Aspect's weapons to protect humanity.

Born on Mount Targon, Atreus trained relentlessly despite lacking natural talent. His determination earned him respect, especially from his friend Pylas. After seeking power to defend against barbarian invaders, Atreus climbed Mount Targon but lost Pylas in the process. At the peak, the Aspect of War chose Atreus as its host, taking full control of his body.

Later, in battle with Aatrox, the Darkin killed the Aspect within Atreus. Though gravely wounded, Atreus survived through sheer willpower. He was nursed back to health by Pylas' widow Iula, finding new purpose in fighting as a mortal rather than a god.

Atreus now fights to protect humanity from gods, Aspects, Darkin and other powerful beings, believing in the strength of mortal determination over divine power. He wields the weapons and armor of previous Aspect hosts, including the Skyfall spear and Aegis shield.
