League of Legends features several distinct maps, each offering unique gameplay experiences:
Summoner's Rift The primary competitive map featuring three lanes (top, mid, bottom) connected by jungle areas. Each team defends their base while attempting to destroy the enemy's Nexus. Key features include:
- 3 turrets per lane
- 2 Nexus turrets
- Jungle monsters providing buffs
- Epic monsters: Baron and Dragon

Howling Abyss A single-lane map designed for ARAM (All Random All Mid) matches:

- Ancestral Woods: Ionian-themed with cherry trees and fountains
