G2 Esports' veteran mid-laner Rasmus "Caps" Borregaard Winther shared insights about integrating new teammates SkewMond and Labrov into the team's strategy for the upcoming LEC season. Rather than having them simply adapt to G2's existing playbook, Caps wants the new additions to help expand it.

The team recently unveiled their new roster at the 2024 Red Bull League of its Own event, where they faced an early setback against Karmine Corp. Despite this, Caps praised the newcomers' dedication: "Labrov and SkewMond have been fitting in very well. They're very eager to learn, and they're very driven."

These roster changes aim to prevent stagnation and bring fresh perspectives to G2's already successful formula. "We don't want them to just fit into our puzzle; we want them to expand on it," Caps explained. The new players' experience from different teams offers valuable alternative viewpoints on strategy and gameplay.

While G2 has dominated domestically, their focus remains on international success. Caps maintains that effective practice is possible regardless of competition level, emphasizing self-accountability: "Even if you play games that are maybe more one-sided, you can get as much out of it as your own."

The team begins their LEC campaign on January 18, facing Karmine Corp in their opening match. This early rematch offers G2 a chance to demonstrate their progress with the new roster and set the tone for their 2024 season.
